Tide Clock made from Recycled Material
This beautifully crafted Tide Clock is made from recycled materials which would have otherwise gone to landfill.
The solid "slate" finish and feel is sturdy and hard-wearing.
From sailing to sandcastles we all need to know what the tide is doing!
Synchronised to the moon's daily cycle, the tide clock gives you an innovative and convenient guide to the tides.
Simply set the hand to the full tide position at exactly high tide for your chosen location, then throw away your tide table!
The quartz-driven hand will rotate every 12 hours 25 minutes around the fascia, giving you the state of the tide at a glance.
This design also provides an indication of how many hours remain until high or low water.
It is available in two colours - black, which is made from recycled coffee cups and plant pots, and blue, which is made from recycled yogurt pots.
Redundant plant pots, seed trays etc. are collected throughout the UK through the "Pot to Product" scheme operated by participating shops and garden centres.
They are then cleaned and sorted, then shredded and melted down into pea-sized pellets.
A small amount of dye is added to provide the "slate" effect.
Once in their pellet form the materials can be formed into all sorts of new products!
